A new project?
The Name
In the spirit of giving this music its best shot in the world, I’ve decided to separate the different types of music I do into different projects: Meghan Morrison will continue to live on as my Alt Rock project, Meghaan LeBlanc is now my Folk Roots project, and Faun Stella (which will be officially launching with the upcoming single) is my new Chamber Pop project.
The Songs
'Elementals' will consist of 5 songs (each tapping into the spirit of the different elements: air, water, earth, fire, and ether). They will first be released individually as singles and, later, bundled together as one body of work (the 'EP').
The First Release
In the theme of the ‘Elementals’ EP, the first single represents (mainly) the water element and is called ‘The Isle & The Sea’. It was written and recorded with Adam Faux and was officially released on June 9th - just in time for summer! If you like to stream music, you can listen, save, and download it here or call in your request to 88.7 Cove FM or 101.5 The Hawk.
The Release Party
In celebration of the first release and the new project, we did a one-hour livestream release party on June 13th with tips and paid ticket proceeds going to aid the flora, fauna, friends, and families recently impacted by the Upper Tantallon fires.
